CONVERSION, BULLS, POTGIETER! 27-20. Potgieter adds another two-pointer which secures the Bulls a bonus point. That''s the final act of the match and the Highlanders are deserved winners. The Bulls will have to go back to the drawing board as they committed far to many errors.

TRY, BULLS. VAN DER MERWE! 27-18. The Bulls launch a drive, from a line-out close to the Highlanders'''' try-line. They are stopped just short and then Van der Merwe runs onto a pass from Van Zyl and crashes over!

The Bulls attack inside the Highlanders' half but Marcel van der Merwe knocks on a pass from Van Zyl. Trent Renata gathers the loose ball and boots it into touch.

The Bulls attack close to the Highlanders' try-line and Jacques Engelbrecht carries forcefully! He goes to ground but Fekitoa does brilliantly as he wins the ball on the ground.

There's another scrum indiscretion from the hosts and predictably Potgieter puts the ball into touch at the corner flag in a bid to launch a drive from a line-out.

The Highlanders front row are pinged for illegal scrummaging. Potgieter puts the resulting penalty out on the hosts' five-metre line.

The Highlanders attack inside the Bulls' 22 and Sopoaga and Fekitoa are prominent ball-carriers. They are soon penalised, however, when Kane Hames goes off his feet at a ruck.

Hougaard gathers a kick from Aaron Smith, just outside his 22. He kicks ahead but his effort goes directly into touch.

The ball comes out to the Bulls backs and Potgieter launches a cross-field kick for Basson to chase. He goes up with Osborne but knocks on in the air! The Highlanders are penalised, however, after Chris King enters a maul illegally in the build-up.

The Highlanders are pinged for straying offside and, once again, Potgieter puts the ball out inside the Highlanders' 22. This time it's on the five-metre line.

Aaron Smith launches a bomb but Buckman plays him in the air and the Bulls are awarded a penalty. Potgieter puts the ball out inside the home side's 22.

CONVERSION, HIGHLANDERS, SOPOAGA! 27-13. Sopoaga lands the easy two-pointer which puts more daylight between his side and the visitors!

TRY, HIGHLANDERS, FEKITOA! 25-13. Malakai Fekitoa runs onto a pass from Aaron Smith and shrugs off a challenge from Van Zyl before scoring under the uprights!

The Bulls suffer a setback when their skipper Flip van der Merwe is forced off with an unspecified injury. He is replaced by Paul Willemse.

Victor Matfield takes the ball into contact before the ball is spun out wide to the Bulls' backs. Engelbrecht tries to offload in the tackle but, once again, his pass rolls into touch.

TRY, HIGHLANDERS, EVANS! 18-13. The Highlanders attack inside the Bulls' half and Malakai Fekitoa beats Jono Ross with ease before offloading to Gareth Evans, who gets the hosts' second try!

The Bulls take the ball through several phases with their forwards and are soon close to the Highlanders' 22. The ball then goes out wide to the backs but JJ Engelbrecht throws a wayward pass directly into touch.

Potgieter gets the second half underway with a deep kick, which Ben Smith gathers from under the nose of JJ Engelbrecht. He sets off on a run but is brought to ground just outside his 22 by Jan Serfontein.

From a line-out, midway between the halfway line and the Highlanders' 22, the ball comes out to Aaron Smith, who hoofs it into touch when he hears the sound of the siren. The teams head into the sheds for half-time and although the hosts will be happy to be all square as the Bulls certainly had the better of that half.

The Bulls attack close to the Highlanders' try-line but Potgieter knocks on and the hosts gain a reprieve!

PENALTY, HIGHLANDERS, SOPOAGA! 13-13. Sopoaga draws the hosts level, after Jono Ross is penalised for offside play.

Aaron Smith spots a gap behind the Bulls' defence and kicks ahead! Francois Hougaard gathers be fore beating a couple of defenders. He offloads to Van Zyl, who sets up a ruck in his 22.

CONVERSION, HIGHLANDERS, SOPOAGA. 10-13. Sopoaga dusts himself off and lands the two-pointer which narrows the gap to three points.

TRY, HIGHLANDERS, SOPOAGA! 8-13. Shaun Treeby makes a devastating break and finds himself in space! He offloads to Sopoaga, who gets in for the home side's opening try!

Piet van Zyl gathers the ball at a line-out and kicks into a gap behind the Highlanders' defence! Ben Smith has difficulty dealing with the bouncing ball but Van Zyl fails to make him pay as he over-runs his kick.

Chris King is pinged for dropping his bind at a scrum and Potgieter puts the resulting penalty into touch, just outside the Highlanders' 22.

PENALTY, BULLS, POTGIETER! 0-6. Potgieter adds another three-pointer after Osborne fails to release Jan Serfontein in the tackle.

Ben Smith kicks up field, from inside his 22, and Visser gathers before launching a bomb. Bjorn Basson gives chase but Smith gathers despite great pressure.

The Highlanders are on the attack, close to the Bulls'' line but the visitors win a turnover and Jurgen Visser sets off down the left-hand touchline! He eventually kicks ahead but Patrick Osborne saves the day for the hosts when he fields the ball inside his 22.

PENALTY, BULLS, POTGIETER! 0-3. Jacques-Louis Potgieter gets the game's first points, from the kicking tee, after the several of the hosts' forwards are pinged for straying offside.

Kick Off
Lima Sopoaga gets us underway! The Bulls forwards knock on in an attempt to gather but the sam thing happens on the Highlanders side and we have a scrum, just outside the visitors'' 22 where the home side get the put-in.

Former All Black second-row Brad Thorn will start for the Highlanders. Thorn replaces Jarrad Hoeata in head coach Jamie Joseph's starting line-up. Other changes to the line-up see Kane Hames return from suspension to take the place of Ma'afu Fia, with Chris King shifting to tighthead prop. Meanwhile, Nasi Manu has been moved to bench duty as the number eight jersey goes to Elliot Dixon, with John Hardie also named in the 23. The powerful Patrick Osborne is named on the wing in place of the suspended Kurt Baker.

The Bulls were forced into a late change to their back-line and bench on Thursday when Akona Ndungane pulled a hamstring during the team's captains run. His place will be taken by Francois Hougaard, who was picked at scrum-half for this match. Piet van Zyl moves up from the bench to start at scrum-half. Van Zyl's place on the bench will be taken by Ulrich Beyers. Coach Frans Ludeke initially made four changes to his side that lost to the Hurricanes in Napier last weekend. Veteran lock Victor Matfield returns at the expense of Paul Willemse, who drops to the bench. The other changes are all in the back-row where Jacques du Plessis and Jono Ross take over from injured flankers Dewald Potgieter and Deon Stegmann while Grant Hattingh is preferred to Jacques Engelbrecht at number eight. Engelbrecht is also on the bench while Springbok lock Flip van der Merwe will continue as captain.
