Argentina once again are careless as they lose the ball in contact under their own posts, but Scotland can't make it work to their benefit as Weir knocks on in the tackle and then Scotland stray offside.

Argentina infringe at the ruck and Scotland have a chance to restore their lead with a long-range penalty from out on the right. He can't bring it around, the ball falling to the right and so the Pumas hold a very slender lead going into the break. Two evenly matched sides making plenty of errors - who can make the breakthrough?

Scrum against the head from Scotland but Hart's kick flies out into touch on the full. Sanchez tries to land another drop goal, but that one is too ambitious and wide of the mark.
Scotland do clear but it's only a temporary reprieve as Sanchez finds touch again outside the 22. Ford to Low and Hart kicks, taken by Sanchez. Loose pass nearly picked off by Seymour, but he knocks on.

TRY, ARGENTINA, DESIO! 5-7: Yes they can! Sanchez works the ball wide and Desio is there to finish in the corner. Thrilling build up by Iglesias originally and the Pumas are playing with plenty of flair. Sanchez can''t convert.
Scotland so close again! Seymour again finds space and his chip over the top just doesn't bounce into his hands with the line ahead of him. Argentina recover and work their own chip over the top from Iglesias, attacking into the Scottish half. Despite the overlap the kick, but retain possession. Can the Pumas score?
Knocked on by Scotland at the end of a driving maul, handing Argentina valuable field position. Amorosino with an arcing run up to the 22. Penalty though to Scotland, Alemanno in at the side of the ruck.

Edinburgh second-row Grant Gilchrist captains a much-changed Scotland for the first time against Argentina in Córdoba on Friday. Four players remain from the team that started and secured a second win of head coach Vern Cotter's international career against Canada last week. One of the quartet, the 23-year-old Gilchrist, will captain the side. Gilchrist is joined by Stuart Hogg, Sean Maitland and Peter Horne from the starting XV against Canada last week.
