The Highlanders launch one final attack but Naholo steps into touch close to the halfway mark. The final whistle goes shortly afterwards and the Brumbies take the points! They went off the ball in the second half but their first half effort laid the foundation to this win. The Highlanders were always playing catch up and eventually failed in that goal.
The Brumbies take the ball through a couple of phases but turnover possession when Coleman knocks on.
Mogg spins out of a tackle from Sopoaga but is brought to ground close to the halfway line by Buckman.
Sopoaga takes on the defence and throws an inside pass to Pryor who glides through a gap in the defence. Pocock does well to close down his space quickly, however, with a text-book cover tackle.
The Highlanders are pinged for another ruck infringement and Lealiifano lines up another shot at goal. His effort is just wide of the target, however.
Coleman gathers an inside pass but loses the ball backwards after taking a big hit from Buckman! The Brumbies regroup quickly and recyle the ball which is soon in the hands of Speight! He kicks ahead and tries to regather in front of the posts but knocks on!
Joe Wheeler is pinged for illegal play at a ruck. Lealiifano puts the ball out on the visitors' 22-metre line.
Jesse Mogg puts the Brumbies on the front-foot with a 35 metre kick which sails into touch just outside the Highlanders' 22.
TRY, HIGHLANDERS, PRYOR! 31-18. The Brumbies have just received some of their own medicine as Dan Pryor crashes over from a line-out drive in a similar fashion to Pocock's tries!
Pocock is pinged for side-entry at a ruck. Sopoaga puts the resulting penalty out inside the Brumbies' 22.
The Brumbies attack from a line-out just inside the Highlanders' half and Lealiifano attacks the line at pace! He's through a half gap but Dan Pryor saves the visitors' blushes with a crucial cover tackle.
The Highlanders have certainly upped the ante after the break as they look to narrow the gap. The Brumbies have done most of the defending but are doing well to keep the visitors in check.
The Brumbies take the ball through several phases with their forwards. Stephen Moore, Pocock and Jordan smiler all carry with great intent.

The referee blows the half-time whistle after Lealiifano boots the ball into touch. It's been one-way traffic for the Brumbies who have already secured their try-scoring bonus-point! The Highlanders will have to show considerable improvement - especially when defending the Brumbies' line-out maul - if they want something from this game.

Ruan Smith leaves the field for a concussion test after he takes a knock to his head after trying to tackle Waisake Naholo. He is replaced by Ben Alexander.

Robbie Coleman straightens the line inside the Highlanders' 22 but is brought to ground by Sopoaga! Crucial tackle as Coleman was in under the posts if he broke free of the challenge.

The Highlanders are hammering away at the Brumbies' line but can't breach the homeside's defence! Shaun Treeby, Patrick Osborne and Hames carry strongly but are met by a wall of white defenders.
Sopoaga gathers the ball inside his 22 and beats four defenders! He offloads to Kane Hames who goes to ground close to the Highlanders' 10-metre line.

The Brumbies pack put huge pressure on their counterparts at a scrum close to the visitors' tryline. The Highlanders capitulate under the pressure and are penalised. Lealiifano puts the penalty into touch on the Highlanders' five-metre line.

TRY, BRUMBIES, SPEIGHT! 5-0. Sopoaga spills a pass close to his 10-metre line from Fumiaki Tanaka and Lealiifano pounces on the loose ball! he offloads to David Pocock who gets a pass out to Henry Speight on the Hi9ghlanders' 22-metre line and he sprints away from the cover defence before crashing over!
The Highlanders attack close to their 10-metre line and Lima Sopoaga delivers a chip kick which Richard Buckman gathers! He sets off on a run but is hauled in by Robbie Coleman.
And we're off! Christian Lealiifano gets the game underway with a deep kick which Trent Renata gathers inside his 22 where he goes to ground.
The Highlanders have made wholesale changes to their team. Malakai Fekitoa, Aaron Smith and Ben Smith are all rested as part of the agreement with the NZRU to rest All Blacks ahead of the World Cup, while there are also a number of changes in the pack. Trent Renata comes in at full-back, with Richard Buckman joining Shaun Treeby in the centres and Fumiaki Tanaka taking over scrum-half duties. Up front, meanwhile, Pingi Tala''apitaga and Tom Franklin bolster the front five, while Joe Latta and Josh Renton are set to make their Super Rugby debuts off the bench.
Twins JP Smith and Ruan Smith will anchor the Brumbies scrum in this clash. This will be the first time in Brumbies history that brothers will start together in the front row, with JP packing down at loosehead prop and Ruan on the other side of the scrum. The Brumbies have re-adjusted their tight-five significantly, with a new-look locking combination of Blake Enever and Jordan Smiler also set for a start. Ita Vaea claims the starting number eight jersey, moving Jarrad Butler to the bench, where he will be joined by Rory Arnold and Ben Alexander. Robbie Coleman debuted at inside-centre back in 2010 and he will again register a cap there on Friday night. His move to the centres brings Jesse Mogg into the starting side at full-back for the first time in 2015 where he will be supported by Tevita Kuridrani who returns to the run-on side at outside centre after recovering from a shoulder injury.
