WARATAHS 43-21 WESTERN FORCE
That's it! The Waratahs win comfortably...the Force made ago of it for about an hour, but that man Izzy Folau just can't be stopped! Thanks for joining us, cheers!
Its all degenerating a bit now. The refs warns the captains to clean it up or someone is going to the sin-bin.
A bit of argie-bargie between Potgieter and McMeniman...nothing serious though. The Waratahs are throwing it around 7s style!
CONVERSION, FOLEY. 43-21. Can the Waratahs hit 50 points? One more try could do it...
TRY, WARATAHS, BEALE. 41-21. The Waratahs throw to the back of the line-out to open it up, Carraro is the man with the break again, offloading to Beale for an easy score.
Concerns over Brynard Stander after a big collision with Wycliff Palu. The medicab is out on the Allianz Stadium turf...the South African will go off on a stretcher. The benches are being emptied now. Tolu Latu joins the fray on his 21st birthday.
CONVERSION, FOLEY. 36-21. Easy extras...
TRY, WARATAHS, FOLAU! 34-21. There's the hat-trick for Izzy Folau! Matt Carraro should get credit for the try, busting through in midfield and charging clear before offloading to his full-back.
CONVERSION, HOLMES. 29-21.
TRY, FORCE, GODWIN! 29-19. Whoa, look out, this game is still on! Cummins intercepts inside his 22 and hacks it ahead. Michael Hooper is beaten by the bounce and fails to clean up before the Honey Badger gets to it again, offloads to Godwin, who scores under the sticks!
The Force enjoyed a good start to the half but it's all Waratahs at the moment. Jacques Potgieter is on for the home side and making a lot of big hits.
CONVERSION, FOLEY. 29-14
TRY, WARATAHS, DOUGLAS. 27-14. Great finish from the skipper, who cuts in off the wing to finish off the good work from the Tahs backs.
The Waratahs now look to ply the pressure with a line-out inside the Force half. Through the hands is goes and Ashley-Cooper finds a gap. The Tahs pour forward...
PENALTY, FORCE, HOLMES. 22-14. The Waratahs will be happy with that! After nearly ten minutes camped on the 'Tahs tryline, the Force give up on the try and take the points.
Whoa! A huge scrum from the Force pushes the 'Tahs pack backward. Palu is caught at the back and forced to carry over his tryline and dot down. 5m scrum to the Force!
Another lost chance for the Force as the Waratahs steal it back in contact while defending on their tryline. All the pressure coming from the Force, but no points.
AH! Wasted chance for the Force. Three times they kick into the corner from penalties and try to maul it over but each time the 'Tahs pack stands strong and eventually the Force give away a free kick for not using it from a stagnant pile of bodies.
YELLOW CARD, WARATAHS, RYAN. After repeated warnings, the ref goes to his pocket as the Tahs infringe at the ruck again.
Great start to the second half for the Force as Holmes kicks into the corner from an early penalty.
WARATAHS 22 - 11 WESTERN FORCE
CONVERSION, 22-11. Foley converts and the Waratahs lead by 11 as we head into the interval. We'll be back in ten.
TRY, WARATAHS, ALOFA! 20-11. Foley hits the upright with a long-range penalty effort but it bounces kindly for Alofa Alofa, who sneaks between three defenders for a lucky try! Great chasing!
Shocking error from Bernard Foley!!! The Waratahs win a penalty deep inside the Force 22 and Douglas chooses the line-out but Foley overcooks an easy kick and sends into touch the wrong side of the corner flag!
Holmes MISSES the conversion. 15-11 it remains.
TRY, FORCE, CUMMINS! 15-11. The Force hammer away, Dellit is stopped just short but Cummins muscles his way over from short range.
Adam Ashley-Cooper penalised for going off his feet. The Force kick into the corner from the penalty. Great opportunity here.
Holmes finds touch just inside the 'Tahs 22 from a scrum penalty. Can the Force sneak a try before half time?
A chance is wasted as Nick Cummins steals the ball off the 'Tahs. A knock on either way sees the Force come away with it. Nathan Charles breaks clear and takes play deep into Waratahs territory.
The Force are off their feet at the breakdown. The Waratahs are chasing tries so they kick for the corner from the penalty.
PENALTY, FORCE, HOLMES. 15-6. Easy three points after the 'Tahs drift offside.
CONVERSION, FOLEY. 15-3. Good kick from the home side's 10.
TRY, WARATAHS, FOLAU! 13-3. The Wallaby full-back gets his second already, collecting Wycliff Palu's offload to ghost home!
Oh my word! What skill from Alofa Alofa, who chips ahead and regathers to score! No! The replays shows the ball just clipped the touchline.
A great opportunity is squandered by the Waratahs, flinging the ball around in the Force 22 until the visitors' defence forces the knock-on.
A bit of kick tennis ends in the ball rolling into the Force in-goal area. 22 restart.
PENALTY, WARATAHS, FOLEY. 8-3. Another ruck penalty and Foley sends it down the middle from 30m out, dead in front.
Good line speed and pressure from the Force, forcing the error from the 'Tahs right in front of the sticks. The hosts are offside after a knock-on so Holmes can clear.
Another penalty for the Tahs, this time at the breakdown. They turn down the points and go for the corner!
Good attacking opportunity for the Waratahs as Foley finds touch from a penalty after the Force collapse a scrum.
PENALTY, FORCE, HOLMES. 5-3. Holmes hits the target this time after Kane Douglas is penalised for coming into the side of a Force maul after the line-out.
The 'Tahs give away another penalty for interfering with the scrum-half. Holmes sends a beautiful kick into the corner and the Force can attack from a line-out.
Folau looks to counter attack after collecting a high ball. But he is isolated and gives away the penalty for not releasing. Zack Holmes lines up the penalty but MISSES. Still 5-0 to the 'Tahs.
Foley is wide with his conversion attempt. 5-0 it remains.
TRY, WARATAHS, FOLAU! 5-0. What a start from the Waratahs. The Force are slow in realigning their defence, the ball goes out wide and Folau links with Alofa Alofa, who turns on the gas down the touchline before offloading back to his full-back!
Here we go! Bernard Foley kicks us off, The Force collect on their 22. Godwin kicks up to halfway and Beale start the first attack from the 'Tahs.
It's a sunny Sydney Sunday so we're all set for a good game!
Scrum-half Alby Mathewson will play his 100th Super Rugby fixture. The four-time All Black is set to reach his milestone playing inside Sias Ebersohn, who is also embarking on his second season with the club, and Perth-born fly-half Zack Holmes, who returns home after two seasons with the Brumbies.
Utility back Kurtley Beale will start at inside centre, outside Bernard Foley, who has won the initial battle for the number 10 jersey. In the pack, the front row is all-Wallaby, with Benn Robinson and Tatafu Polota Nau teaming up with Paddy Ryan, who edges out Sekope Kepu. Captain Dave Dennis and Michael Hooper are the flankers, with the seasoned Wycliff Palu playing number eight.
Hello and welcome to Sydney for our coverage of the final game in Super Rugby Round 2! The Force are in town looking to cause an upset. They've done well in Sydney in the past, can they do it?
