CRUSADERS 38-6 SHARKS
Into overtime as the Crusaders have a scrum on the near side. Heinz bangs it into touch and that is that - the Crusaders are through to the Super Rugby Final. The Sharks have been completely thrashed in Christchurch while the hosts march on.

Sharks temporarily get the ball away but it's relentless from the home side. Lineout for the Crusaders as they sniff for another gap in the defence. Penalty, Adriaanse the guilty party. Crusaders go into the corner...
Crusaders running out from deep, Taylor thumping the ball deep. Mvovo knocks on under no pressure, another bad moment for the Sharks. It's been painful. Crusaders scrum.

TRY, CRUSADERS, MCNICHOLL! 33-6: Crusaders lucky to not be down to 14 men after Laulala throws a punch. Penalty instead for the Sharks who try to set up a maul. Penalty, tapped quick and then the ball is knocked on. Crusaders kick ahead, Chavanga getting back and kicking high and aimless. Super counter attack with Slade, Dagg and Heinz all involved before McNicholl scores! Carter can't convert.
Replacements being made across the board as the Sharks set up a scrum on the Crusaders' 22. Their best field position so far as the Sharks win a penalty. Flag from the touch judge so play is stopped...

Read and Nadolo are everywhere, dynamic ball runners making the difference. Crusaders lineout isn't straight so the Sharks have a scrum, as Read goes off to a standing ovation.

More poor kicking from the Sharks gives Dagg all the time in the world to find a handy touch. Knocked on by the Sharks at the lineout... the errors are mounting.

CRUSADERS 16-6 SHARKS
Lambie can''t land his third penalty, so the gap is ten points going into half-time. Even so, the Sharks will be happy to be within ten after such a poor first half in terms of their execution. Next score is massive, don''t go away.
Sharks attempting one of those long snaking mauls and although it doesn't make much ground, they do win a penalty, Flynn the guilty party. Lambie with another chance.
Nadolo tries to take on three or four Sharks and loses it forward, Sharks then winning a breakdown penalty. Lambie finds touch with a poor kick as the Sharks get a final attack.
Helter skelter stuff in Christchurch as the Sharks break out through Lambie but can't finish off the attack despite good hands. Turnover and runs from the Crusaders but Carter's kick just beats Fonotia into touch.
PENALTY, SHARKS, LAMBIE! 16-6: Another chance for the Sharks to get some points as Lambie hammers over another three points from just inside the half. Half-time coming up.
Dagg fails to mark a high kick from Reinach and is then charged down, so the Sharks attack in the 22 for the first time. Super counter-ruck and the ball is cleared by Dagg.
PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 16-3: Contest just starting to slip away from the visitors as Carter makes no mistake.
Another kickable penalty for the Crusaders, Reinach offside this time on the edge of the 22. Easy chance for Carter.
PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 13-3: Simple kick for Carter and the lead is restored to ten points.
Crusaders scrum with a slight edge early but the Sharks get it away, only to lose the ball forward. Crusaders attack off their scrum and Deysel infringes there, handing Carter a kickable shot at goal.
Promising attack from the Sharks but that ball is lost, before Carter puts it on a penny with a super kick to the corner. Sharks lineout back in their 22 - won and passed wide but Marais is charged down. Knocked on by the Crusaders, Sharks scrum deep near their line.
PENALTY, SHARKS, LAMBIE! 10-3: Fine strike 40 metres out from Lambie to put the visitors on the board.
Lineout from Bismarck goes long but then the Crusaders concede a penalty, Coetzee at the ruck cancelling out Whitelock's steal. Lambie going for goal.
The Sharks kicking game is utterly misfiring, as the latest restart flies out into touch on the full. Kicked towards Marais who is hounded and coughs up the ball. Crusaders charging but Whitelock is off his feet at the ruck. Sharks kick to touch.
TRY, CRUSADERS, READ! 10-0: Mistake from the Sharks as they hash a loose kick into midfield, handing the Crusaders the attack. High tempo stuff in Christchurch and that's the first try! Kieran Read! The IRB Player of the Year does it again, beating Jordaan on the outside and then stepping inside to score.
Blindside burst from Reinach who shows good speed, but he can't find Pietersen and then McCaw is there to win the penalty.
Stolen lineout by the Crusaders who come back on the attack. Brilliant breakout from the Sharks through Marais and Kankowski with ball in hand. Stolen by the hosts but that pass is forward. Sharks scrum.
Dummy runners and an inside ball from Carter to Slade gets the Crusaders on the front foot, but the ball is lost by Slade. Sharks kick deep but back come the Crusaders, Flynn with a burst up the touchline. Grubber from Todd and Marais recovers but is then hit by McCaw. Not releasing, Sharks penalty.
Great work at the breakdown from Coetzee to win a penalty, but then Lambie's kick to touch is way overcooked and rolls dead out the back. Crusaders scrum back in the Sharks half.
High kick from Dagg but he can't regather underneath. Cleared by the Sharks but back come the Crusaders who look good with the ball in hand, Read again making metres. His pass though is knocked on, scrum Sharks.
Error by Bird at the lineout, so it's time for the first scrum. Solid from the Sharks and Steyn kicks deep... too deep. Lineout Crusaders. Ball won but a good counter-ruck from the Sharks turns the ball over and then Reinach clears.
Sharks yet to get their hands on the ball as Todd shows nice hands, releasing Fonotia to halfway. Kicked long and Lambie calls the mark. Crusaders lineout inside the Sharks half.
PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 3-0: No mistake from Test rugby's record points scorer. The hosts take the early lead.
Opening attack for the hosts as Read makes good ground, into the 22. Back to the penalty, Lewies and J.du Plessis offside.
Time to get things underway! Slade bangs the kickoff deep and the Sharks clear through Marais.
A dry night so far in Christchurch as both teams prepare to take the field.
Richie McCaw has recovered from injury to return to the Crusaders line-up and will play on the blindside flank. That sees Jordan Taufua move to the bench and Luke Whitelock drop out of the matchday squad. Corey Flynn will take the starting hooker spot for his 150th Crusaders game, with Ben Funnell providing back-up from the bench.
The Sharks have named Pat Lambie at 10, with flanker Jean Deysel also starting on Saturday. Lambie's return to the line-up sees Frans Steyn shift to inside centre which means Paul Jordaan wears 13 and JP Pietersen is on the right wing. That's the only change in personnel in the Sharks backline and there is also one up front as Deysel replaces the injured Anton Bresler, with Willem Alberts moving into the second-row position to accommodate Deysel's arrival on the flank.
