TRY, BRUMBIES, TOOMUA! The Chiefs go in search of their fourth try but it backfires when Ruan Smith intercepts a Tom Marshall, just outside the visitors' 22! The big prop offloads to Matt Toomua, who dots down in the right-hand corner! Lealiifano misses with the conversion attempt and that's the final act of this match. The hosts deserve that victory after stepping a gear after the break. The Chiefs have plenty of homework to do as they conceded too many turnovers which cost them dearly in the end.
CONVERSION, CHIEFS, HORRELL! 36-23. Horrell adds the extras to narrow the gap to 13 points.
TRY, CHIEFS, HOHNECK! 36-21. Josh Hohneck runs onto the ball at pace, close to the Brumbies, try-line and crashes over with a defender on his back!
Despite the Chiefs' little resurgence, the Brumbies are not resting on their laurels and are taking the fight to their opponents. The visitors are running at every opportunity but are met by a solid wall of defenders.
CONVERSION, CHIEFS, HORRELL! 36-16. Anscombe is off so Andrew Horrell steps up and lands the two-pointer from close range.
TRY, CHIEFS, WEBER! 36-14. Brad Weber is in possession deep inside the Brumbies' 22 and beats two defenders before scoring next to the uprights!
The Chiefs are trying desperately to get something from this game! They're on the attack, close to the Brumbies' 22, but then Matt Symons knocks on at a ruck.
Nathan Harris is penalised for winning the balll illegally at a ruck inside the Brumbies' half. White puts the ball out on the Chiefs' 10-metre line.
The Chiefs are on the attack but concede a turnover and the hosts are in possession again! Pat McCabe and Lealiifano combine to put Robbie Coleman in the clear and only a desperate cover tackle from Horrell prevents him from scoring!
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, WHITE! 36-9. White adds another three-pointer after the Chiefs are, once again, pinged for a ruck infringement.
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, WHITE! 33-9. White lands the place-kick which puts more daylight between the hosts and their opponents!
TRY, BRUMBIES, KURIDRANI! 31-9. The Chiefs are on the back-foot after a fumble, close to the Brumbies' 22 and Tommua boots the ball ahead! Jarrad Butler gathers inside the Chiefs' 22 and passes to Tevita Kuridrani, who gets in for his second try!
TRY, BRUMBIES, KURIDRANI! 26-9. The Brumbies attack close to the Chiefs' try-line and Stephen Moore offloads to Tevita Kuridrani, who bursts through two tackles before scoring in the right-hand corner!
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, WHITE! 21-9. White lands his spot-kick, from 45 metres to give the home side a 12-point lead! This after Lowe's foul on Tomane.
YELLOW CARD, CHIEFS, LOWE! The Chiefs are still in possession, just outside the Brumbies' 22, but Tomane intercepts a pass from Andrew Horrell! He sets off towards the try-line but is tripped by James Lowe, who will spend the next 10 minutes in the sin bin for his efforts.
The Chiefs take the ball through several phases as they try to get back into this game. Messam, Retallick, Nana-Williams and Pulu are all prominent but they can't break down the home side's defence.
TRY, BRUMBIES, TOMANE! 18-9. The Brumbies take the ball out wide with their backs. White throws a long pass to Mogg, who offloads to Tomane who dives in at the right-hand corner!
PENALTY, CHIEFS, ANSCOMBE! 13-9. The Brumbies are pinged for an indiscretion at a ruck and Anscombe makes them pay as he lands the three-pointer.
The Chiefs attack close to the Brumbies' try-line but Messam is caught holding on to the ball too long and is penalised for his indiscretion.
The second half gets underway with a deep kick from Anscombe which Tomane fumbles backwards. White is quickest to the ball and boots it into touch.

The Chiefs front row are pinged for illegal scrummaging deep inside the Brumbies' 22. It's too far to take a shot at goal and White boots the ball into touch as referee Steve Walsh blows his whistle to signal half-time. It's been an even contest so far but the Brumbies have taken charge as the game progressed. The visitors have been full of running but it's the home side who go into the sheds with a deserved lead.
Nanai-Williams spots a gap, behind the hosts defence, and delivers a 35 metre crossfield-kick which rolls into touch just outside the Brumbies' 22.
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, LEALIIFANO. 13-6. Lealiifano gives the hosts a seven-point lead after Pulu is penalised for being offside.
Mahonri Schwalger is pinged for illegal scrummaging. White puts the ball out midway between the Chiefs' 22 and the halfway mark.
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LEALIIFANO! 10-6. Lealiifano adds the extras to extend his side's lead.
TRY, BRUMBIES, TOOMUA! 8-6. The Brumbies attack, close to the Chiefs' try-line, and Matt Toomua runs onto an inside pass from Joe Tomane before crashing over!
The Chiefs get out of jail when the Brumbies are pinged for illegal scrummaging. Anscome puts the ball out midway between his 22 and the halfway mark.
PENALTY, CHIEFS, ANSCOMBE! 3-6. The home side are pinged again at a ruck and Anscombe makes them pay again.
The Chiefs try to drive from a line-out, about 10 metres from the visitors'22 but Stephen Moore does well to halt his momentum.
Anscombe gets a chance to restore the hosts' three-point lead but his effort is to the left of the uprights.
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, LEALIIFANO! 3-3. This time Lealiifano holds his nerve, and draws his side level from in front of the posts.
The Chiefs are pinged for a ruck infringement and White puts the ball out deep inside the visitors' 22.
The Chiefs attack at a scrum, just outside their 22, but Pulu brings much needed relief with a kick into touch close tot he halfway mark.
PENALTY, CHIEFS, ANSCOMBE! 0-3. Gareth Anscombe gets the game's opening points after the hosts' are pinged for straying offside on defence.
The Brumbies do well to rob the visitors of possession and the ball is spun to Mogg who kicks for touch and puts the ball out on his 22-metre mark.
Chrisitan Lealiifano gets a chance to put his side in front, after Brodie Retallick is pinged for not releasing White on the ground. His effort is to the right of the uprights, however!
The Chiefs are on the attack but lose possession when Nick Crosswell knocks on. The ball is gathered by White who boots it into the visitors' 22.
And we're off! Nic White gets us started with a deep kick which Tim Nana-Williams gathers inside his 22. He passes to Augustine Pulu who kicks the ball upfield where Jesse Mogg fumbles on his 10-metre line.
Wallabies centre Christian Lealiifano will make his first start of the season for the Brumbies. Lealiifano will start at inside centre at the expense of the in-form Pat McCabe, who has dropped to the bench, in a side that features two changes. The only other change to the starting XV is the return of lock Sam Carter to the second row after missing two matches with a knee injury. On the bench, Tom McVerry will make his first Brumbies appearance after being called into the squad following the season-ending injury to David Pocock. Tom Staniforth drops out of the matchday 23.
Chiefs boss Dave Rennie has made six changes to his starting XV. Mahonri Schwalger will start at hooker and will be joined in the forwards by Ross Filipo who gets his first start for the year. Nick Crosswell and Sam Cane will be starting flankers with Liam Messam moving to number eight and Augustine Pulu at scrum-half. Tevita Koloamatangi comes onto the bench and is joined by half-back Brad Weber and Dwayne Sweeney, who has re-joined the Chiefs after two years playing in Japan. James Lowe returns from a knee injury to take his place on the bench.
