Full Time
Full-time: Force 14-27 Brumbies

79'
Conversion
CONVERSION, FORCE, EBERSOHN. 14-27. That is that.

79'
Try
TRY, FORCE, MCCALMAN. 12-27. Where has this been all game? Power play from the Force sees them go over for their second score and it is McCalman.

78'
Conversion
CONVERSION, FORCE, EBERSOHN. 7-27. Two more points.

77'
Try
TRY, FORCE, HAYWARD. 5-27. But an early bind from Alexander costs them the chance to get the try and in fact the Force break and score through Hayward.

74'
Finally they have it. White kicks into the corner after his forward pack wins a breakdown penalty. It's now or never pretty much for the away side.

71'
Here comes Cummins from his own 22, making metres before Hayward and Morahan carry on this counter. Unfortunately the latter spills a pass soon after. Brumbies put-in on their 22. They need territory.

68'
Almost for the Force as Hodgson busts the line on the 22 but Ebersohn cannot hold the offload. Net result it's a Brumbies scrum with time ticking on if they want that bonus. White kicks it to Cummins.

66'
The Brumbies are still without that try bonus-point and don't look too urgent about it. Why they took the three points ten minutes ago remains a mystery. Force scrum about 30 metres from the Brumbies line.

63'
Maybe that is about to change as first Ben McCalman breaks the line on halfway before Godwin carries it on in the 22. But with the good comes the bad as a knock-on at a resulting line-out foils the attack.

61'
But, again, nothing comes of that territory and we are back on halfway with the Force putting in after a Brumbies knock-on. Hardly absorbing rugby here.

59'
The hosts will have a decent platform though to launch a possible response as flank Pocock loses the ball forward at the back of a line-out. The Western Force pack down on the visiting 22 then.

55'
Penalty
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, WHITE. 0-27. Early push from the Force is not what they wanted. The punishment is watching White send over another three points.

52'
The Brumbies are back in possession 40 metres out before Coleman grubbers down to Hayward. Ebersohn soon kicks long to halfway before a knock-on sees the Force have the put-in on their own ten-metre.

48'
The Force defence is up to it though as Coleman is driven into touch fifteen metres out. Net result, it is a home line-out coming up in their own 22.

46'
What they won't like however is their scrum as it gets marched backwards, with the Brumbies kicking the resulting penalty to within 35 of the try-line.

45'
This is much better from the Force so far as they run with purpose. A knock-on should not get them down too much as it's improved from the first 40.

42'
Andrew Smith is on for Pat McCabe for the Brumbies while Jayden Hayward replaces Dellit for the Force. Play is on the Brumbies ten-metre with the Force attacking with intent in the opening of the half.

41'
Welcome back to the action from nib Stadium where the home side have made a change at fly-half, as Sias Ebersohn is on for Holmes. He will kick off.

40'
Half Time
Half-time: Force 0-24 Brumbies

39'
Penalty
PENALTY, BRUMBIES, WHITE. 0-24. Points on the board for the Brumbies as White chooses the three points instead of going hunting for the four-try bonus.

38'
The Brumbies have a Jarrad Butler try disallowed as referee Nick Briant calls them for obstruction off a driving line-out. Still time for another score.

37'
Play is back underway then with McMeniman leaving the field and being replaced by Wilhelm Steenkamp. And things have just got a whole lot worse for the home side as Dellit and Holmes make a right mess of things in their own 22, leading to the ten kicking the ball out two metres from their own try-line.

36'
Concern here as Force lock Hugh McMeniman is down receiving treatment for what looks like his neck.

35'
Nothing comes of that passage as big tackles from Toomua and McCabe see the Brumbies out of trouble. Not for long though as the Force will come again, with another attacking line-out coming right up.

33'
Attacking line-out now just ten metres out for the home side. Can they pick the hole left by Mogg's absence? Slow ball with an advantage being played.

31'
Clever stuff from the Brumbies as they eat up the clock while Mogg is in the sin-bin. Force ball now though on halfway with Chris Alcock taking it up.

29'
Yellow Card
YELLOW CARD, BRUMBIES, MOGG. The full-back goes to the bin for lifting up Sam Wykes' legs in the ruck.

27'
The Force have some field position on the visiting 22 with Alby Mathewson going right to Pat Dellit. Can they string some phases together? Answer, no.

24'
Conversion
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, WHITE. 0-21. A third superb conversion from him, this time from the left side.

23'
Try
TRY, BRUMBIES, COLEMAN. 0-19. This is punishing rugby from the Brumbies. Width, power and a fine finish on the left sideline from Robbie Coleman.

21'
The Brumbies are cutting loose here with Sam Carter enjoying plenty of ball in midfield. However, Ben Alexander is penalised soon after for going off his feet so Western Force kick toward the Brumbies 22.

18'
Play is in the Brumbies 22 for the first time in the game after Zack Holmes kicks well. Mogg has replied though soon after taking it to halfway.

16'
Conversion
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, WHITE. 0-14. Excellent again.

15'
Try
TRY, BRUMBIES, MOGG. 0-12. Lovely rugby from the Brumbies as they go through the phases with quick ball causing havoc in the Force defence. Superb.

13'
Yet more Brumbies possession and territory about 35 metres from the Force line as Stephen Moore throws. Hang about, the Force win the line-out and finally get into opposition territory. The crowd like that.

10'
Conversion
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, WHITE. 0-7. Great strike.

9'
Try
TRY, BRUMBIES, FARDY. 0-5. Points are on the board as good forward work off the ruck leads to second-row Scott Fardy finishing well on the right side.

8'
Luke Morahan clears for his team but it's hardly out of his own 22 as the territory statistic is heavily in favour of the Brumbies. They must make these numbers count on the scoreboard however...

6'
The Force are really under pressure in the early sparring as they pack down for a defensive scrum about 25 metres from their own line on the left.

4'
And now the Brumbies almost score a try. Wow, Henry Speight burst down the right wing before handing it back inside to Tevita Kuridrani, but the final pass to Matt Toomua goes to land. It's all Brumbies...

2'
Well that should have been an early lead for the Brumbies as Matt Hodgson went off his feet. Nic White misses the simple penalty attempt though.

Kick Off
Here we go then in warm conditions in Perth and it is the Brumbies kicking off. They reclaim the ball and set up camp on the home side's 22. Big start?

Force news: Lock Hugh McMeniman and flanker Chris Alcock have returned to the Force starting XV for Saturday's clash against the Brumbies at nib Stadium. McMeniman's selection in the starting line-up completes his return from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the second half of 2013. He will pack down alongside Sam Wykes on Saturday. Alcock, who, along with Alby Mathewson, was one of only two players to play each match for the Force in 2013, will join captain Matt Hodgson and number eight Ben McCalman in the back row. The Force will field an identical backline to last week, including Nick Cummins on the wing and Kyle Godwin at inside centre, who each crossed for the Force's two tries against the Waratahs.
